VOX-POP STREET INTERVIEW PODCAST

pop! pop! (mic opens)

Hello everyone!

Today, I'm here to tell you about the process of my ICT Material Design course task which is making a podcast. We were given 3 different options, and they were Creating a vox-pop, improving the world podcast and A sound-rich story. We could either choose it individually or in pairs. I've chosen to do vox-pop street interview and my collaborator was my friend Almina (alminaslibrary). You may not know what a Vox-pop interview is, let me explain! Vox-pop interview is a basically street interview. You ask short answer questions to multiple people, gather all answers and create your podcast.

Our question was "What is a book that you think everyone should read?". We've asked to ten people. We've gathered answers and created our podcast which is at the bottom of the page for you guys to listen. There were various answers from Turkish to Russian classics, novels to mystery books. It was very fun to make a podcast. Asking questions and gathering answers was very entertaining. Finding a question to ask might be the challenging part because it needs brainstorming. It would be efficient to give a task like this to my students because I think it builds up a confidence and it is fun. Also, it enhances the speaking and pronunciation as students are to pronounce correctly because they'll be graded for this task. So, I can say that it was improving and entertaining to do and I would assign a task like this to my students too.
